We're more than just a dance studio; we're a dedicated community committed to helping every student find confidence, joy, and growth through movement.
Our Mission & Our Story
At Sunrise Pointe Dance Company (SPDC), our mission is simple:
Helping students grow through dance.
We started this journey in 2020 when our Director, Pam, felt a deep calling to create a supportive, student-centered dance environment. Pam discussed this calling with her close friend Alex, and shortly thereafter, Sunrise Pointe Dance Company was born.
Pam and Alex, who bring years of professional ballet and dance expertise, lead our organization and students. They are not just teachers; they are active directors and mentors who pour their hearts into the organization.
We originally began as a for-profit endeavor, but soon realized that our true purpose was best served as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our focus was never on financial profit, but on the success and growth of our students. Becoming a nonprofit allows us to direct resources toward scholarships, inclusive programs, and strengthening youth arts in the Tri-Cities region.
One might say our profit is the Successes of our Students.

We serve children ages 3–18 from Johnson City, Jonesborough, and the greater Tri-Cities region, providing a safe and truly inclusive environment where all dancers are celebrated.
Adaptive Programs: We actively work with students who have a range of learning differences and unique challenges. Your child's unique journey is embraced, and our instructors use the transformative power of dance and music to encourage confidence and expression.
Affordable Access: We believe every child deserves the chance to dance. Cost should never be a barrier. We work hard to ensure our programs are affordable and accessible to families from all backgrounds, offering scholarship support and flexible arrangements to those in need.
Our team is deeply committed to fostering an encouraging atmosphere, instilling confidence, creativity, and a sense of belonging in every student.
